Trail description
A three to four day Great Walk around the western shore of Lake Waikaremoana in Te Urewera, from Onepoto over the Panekire Bluff at about 1,100 m and then along the lake through rainforest to Hopuruahine. Huts and campsites must be booked in advance, and walkers usually arrange a water taxi or shuttle at the ends.
