Trail description
A 1.6 km walk with about 170 m of height difference on the Fairy Falls Track between the car park on Scenic Drive and the foot of Fairy Falls, in the eastern Waitākere Ranges of Auckland. The falls are on the Fairy Falls Stream, which flows north-east to Stony Creek and on to the Waitematā Harbour. The track was closed in 2018 because of the threat of kauri dieback and later damaged by Cyclone Gabrielle in February 2023, and most of it had reopened by September 2024.
