Trail description
A 3.9 km walk with about 150 m of climbing from Moana Road in Days Bay through the streets and bush of Eastbourne, partly on the Muritai Track, to MacKenzie Road in Rona Bay. Days Bay (Oruamatoro) is walled on three sides by steep bush-clad slopes, and most of its level land is taken up by the 6.5 ha Williams Park. The Wellington shipowner J H Williams bought land there near the end of the 19th century, building a wharf and turning the bay into a resort for day-trippers and holidaymakers.
