Trail description
A 1.7 km walk with about 70 m of height difference from Grange Road above Hahei down to Cathedral Cove, on the Coromandel Peninsula. The Cathedral Cove Recreation Reserve runs from the northern end of Hahei Beach to beyond the cove, alongside the 840 ha Te Whanganui-o-Hei (Cathedral Cove) Marine Reserve in Mercury Bay. With its natural rock archway and neighbouring beaches, the cove receives around 150,000 visitors a year.
