Trail description

A 12.2 km walk with about 260 m of climbing on the Abel Tasman Coast Track from Mārahau, where the track begins, to the hut and campsite at Anchorage, in Abel Tasman National Park. The 60 km coast track runs north from Mārahau to Wainui and is one of New Zealand's Great Walks, well formed and easy to follow. It is the most popular tramping track in the country, sheltered and open all year thanks to its mild weather. Anchorage is one of the places with huts that divide the track into sections.
