Trail description
A flat 6.5 km loop through the Wierdense Veld, a bog and heath reserve north of the N35 between Wierden and Nijverdal. The 420 ha area, partly dug for peat, has wet and dry heath, peat pits and birch scrub and has been a Natura 2000 site since 2016. A flock of about 300 Veluwe heath sheep grazes it, and cranes and snipe breed here.
