Trail description
A 5.1 km loop with 32 m of climb from the Sint-Christinakerk in Eijsden on the E1 route of the local walking network, which is named after the Eijsder Beemden. It heads out to the Maas, follows the river bank on grass paths through the floodplain meadows past their ponds, and returns through the old streets of Eijsden. The Eijsder Beemden, managed by Het Limburgs Landschap, are open grassy plains with shallow ponds and patches of riverside woodland on the east bank of the Maas, kept open by grazing Galloway cattle.
