Duvelskuul Walk

Trail description

This 6.7 km loop follows Staatsbosbeheer's red Duvelskuul route from Boscafé Het Rimpelt near Afferden through the former Bleijenbeek estate. After crossing the Eckeltse Beek it winds over the Duvelskuul heath and down an old beech avenue, then passes the Poaterskapel and the ruin of Kasteel Bleijenbeek. The castle was bombed in 1945 and its ruin now houses a bat colony.
