Trail description

Zubacki Kabao (1894 m) is the highest summit of Orjen, on the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina. From the Za Vratlom mountain hut at the Vratlo saddle, a marked trail heads north through karst and beech forest by Borova Glava to the Orjen saddle shelter and its small pond. From there the historic Austro-Hungarian path of 1886, the oldest mountaineering trail in Montenegro, rises about 300 m over 2 km to the top. It is a long day with well over 700 m of ascent and some rocky steps near the summit. On clear days the view reaches the Bay of Kotor, the Adriatic and Durmitor.
