Trail description
The climb to Zla Kolata (2534 m), the highest point reached on Montenegrin soil, on the ridge that forms the border with Albania in Prokletije National Park. The marked path leaves Vusanje through forest past Zarunica, then climbs rocky slopes via Grlata and the Bora saddle to the neighbouring Dobra Kolata and on to the summit, with a wide view over the Accursed Mountains. Expect about 9 km and roughly 1450 m of ascent each way, around 6 to 7 hours up; there is no climbing but good fitness is needed. Go between July and September once the snow has gone. Vusanje is a short drive from Gusinje on a paved road.
