Stari Bar to Vrteljak Waterfall

Trail description

This short stream hike starts below the walls of Stari Bar, near the old stone bridge. It follows a red-and-white marked path upstream past an old mill and the Stari Bar aqueduct into the gorge of the Rikavac stream. It passes a lower waterfall with a bathing pool and ends at the Vrteljak waterfall, the highest point of the walk at about 330 m. The full out-and-back is about 7 km with roughly 360 m of ascent and is rated T1. The aqueduct section is steep and easier going up than down, and the falls are fullest in spring.
