Maja Rosit Summit (Rosni Vrh) from Vusanje

Trail description

A long day up Maja Rosit (Rosni Vrh, about 2525 m), a border summit of the Prokletije range above the Ropojana valley. The route follows the valley from Vusanje to the Zastan area, then turns up a steep path through forest and past the Roman katun to the bare limestone top. The panorama takes in Maja Jezerce, the Kolata and Karanfili peaks and the long ridges of the Albanian Alps. Allow around 10 km and 1450 m of ascent each way, roughly 6 hours up, in summer only. Vusanje lies a few kilometres south of Gusinje.
