Trail description

Dernjaciste (2238 m) is the highest point of the Ljubisnja massif west of Pljevlja, on the Bosnian border. You reach it by forest roads from Pljevlja via Gradac and Vrba, and the hike starts from the high meadows at about 1800 m. A marked path crosses the meadow and thin forest, then dwarf mountain pine, to the long flat summit ridge, for roughly 430 m of gentle ascent in about 1.5 hours. The summit looks out over Bjelasica, Komovi, Sinjajevina and the Tara and Draga canyons. There is water at the meadows near the Jezerac spring, but the drive in needs a sturdy car.
