Komovi Circuit from Stavna

Trail description

A full-day loop around the three rocky summits of Komovi on an old shepherds' route that once linked the Kuci, Bratonozici and Vasojevici clans. From the Stavna eco katun the path runs past the old tombstones at Ljuban, the katuns of Carine and Popovici, the Crni Izvori springs and the Rogam plateau, with close views of Kucki, Ljevorecki and Vasojevicki Kom. Expect around 20 km and about 1500 m of total ascent, mostly between 1600 and 2100 m, so it is demanding for its length rather than its terrain. Hike it in summer and early autumn. Stavna is reached by road from the Tresnjevik pass between Andrijevica and Kolasin.
