Komarno to Rijeka Crnojevića Old Caravan Trail, Skadar

Trail description

One of the official walking trails of Skadar Lake National Park, this linear route follows the old caravan road from the lakeside village of Komarno north to the river town of Rijeka Crnojevica. On the way it passes the old watermills at Poseljani, an old stone bridge near the hamlet of Gusi, the narrow Gogosko gorge and the village of Mracelji before dropping to the Crnojevica river. The park rates it moderately difficult and allows about 6 hours for the 10 km. Spring and autumn are the most comfortable seasons, as the karst hills above the lake get very hot in summer. As it is one way, arrange a pickup or transfer back from Rijeka Crnojevica.
