Kofiljača Summit from Plav

Trail description

Kofiljaca is the mountain rising straight above Plav's old town. The Plav tourist board recommends it as a morning ascent. From the south-eastern edge of town, paths and gravel tracks climb through pine and beech forest to the Kofiljaca viewpoint hut and on to the 1825 m summit. It is about 4.5 km one way with roughly 650 m of ascent. The whole way up you look over Lake Plav, the Plav bazaar, the Ljuca and Lim valleys and Visitor mountain. The top is also a paragliding launch, and the hut has basic summer lodging without electricity.
