Trail description

A steep woodland climb from the shore of Biogradsko Lake through the old-growth forest of Biogradska Gora National Park to the shepherds' summer pasture of Goles. About 1 km along the lake a signpost sends you up a narrow mountain path to a saddle, from where you drop down to the katun at 1673 m; the tourist board gives 4 km, 579 m of ascent and about 1 hour 40 minutes up. At Goles the hosts serve meals and offer overnight stays, so you can linger before walking back. The lake car park lies at the end of the park road from Kraljevo Kolo on the Kolasin to Mojkovac highway, and Biogradska Gora sells entry tickets as a national park.
