Trail description
Hajla (2403 m) is the highest peak above Rozaje, standing on the Montenegro and Kosovo border in the far northeast of the country. From the Bandzov katun area the path climbs through forest and open pasture onto the long rocky ridge that leads to the summit, with views over the Rugova mountains and back across northern Montenegro. From Bandzov it is about 5 km and 2.5 to 3 hours to the top; the final ridge is narrow and exposed, so avoid it in poor visibility. Bandzov is reached by a 10 to 12 km unpaved forest road from Rozaje. Best from June to September.
