Trail description
The cave above Vrazji Firovi, better known as Djalovica Cave, is the longest cave system in Montenegro, with around 20 km of passages explored so far. The path starts at Podvrh Monastery and follows the Bistrica river upstream into the Djalovica gorge, a protected natural monument, to the cave entrances above a stepped chain of water-filled pools called the Devil's Pools. The walk is about 3.3 km one way, and the Bijelo Polje tourist board puts it at around two hours on foot. Podvrh is 24 km from Bijelo Polje (18 km of asphalt, then 6 km of gravel). Admire the entrances from outside and only go inside with trained cavers or an organised visit.
