Budos Summit from the Budos Tunnel Road (Niksic)

Trail description

Budos, at 1215 m, is the highest point of the mountain that closes the Niksic plain to the south. From near the Budos tunnel on the Podgorica to Niksic road, forest tracks lead west for about 2.4 km before a marked footpath turns up the slope. The lower part of the path is wide and gentle, while the final stretch to the summit is rocky and needs care. The route is about 4.5 km one way with roughly 600 m of climbing, and the top gives wide views over Niksic, Slano Lake and the surrounding mountains.
