Trail description
A nearly flat 4 km loop at about 2,300 m on the dirt tracks and a footway of Sierra de Órganos National Park, starting at the end of the park's access road. That dirt road runs about 10 km from Highway 45 at the San Francisco de Órganos junction, northwest of Sombrerete in Zacatecas. The park, decreed in 2000 and covering 1,125 hectares, is known for rock formations of volcanic origin, shaped by erosion into forms like organ pipes or cacti and reaching 20 to 60 m high. Its small valleys give views of the formations from below, with pine and oak forest on the heights and dry scrub lower down.
