Trail Description

The ascent of the highest mountain in Mexico and the third highest in North America, a perfect glaciated cone. From the Piedra Grande hut the route climbs rock and then the Jamapa glacier with ice axe and crampons to a crater rim above 5,600 metres. A demanding climb for experienced mountaineers only.
