Trail description
Walk from the village of Xocotlán on the edge of Texcoco down to the Molino de Flores Nezahualcóyotl National Park, a 55-hectare park in a wooded ravine. It holds the ruins of a colonial hacienda that began as a cloth mill granted to Juan Vázquez in the 16th century, became a wheat mill, and ended as the most important pulque hacienda supplying Mexico City. The land is thought to have been part of the gardens of Nezahualcóyotl, ruler of Texcoco. It became a national park in 1937.
