Malecón de Chetumal

Trail description

Walk along the Boulevard Bahía, Chetumal's seafront promenade on the Bay of Chetumal. The boulevard runs about 20 km from Parque Renacimiento to Calderitas and is the longest waterfront on the Yucatán Peninsula. Along the central stretch, a 3 km open-air gallery of 17 sculptures leads from the Concha Acústica to the Manatee Monument, and the 'Chetumal, aquí empieza México' letters make a popular photo stop. With luck you may see ducks, dolphins or even crocodiles in the bay.
