Trail description
A walk from Laguna Pojoj past its viewpoint and along the El Perol trail through pine forest to the lakeshore viewpoints at the northern end of the trail. Lagunas de Montebello National Park, near the Guatemalan border, has 59 multi-coloured lakes and two Maya ruins. Created in 1959, it was the first national park in Chiapas, and UNESCO named it a biosphere reserve in 2009.
