Lago de Arareco Creel

Trail description

Lake Arareco is a U-shaped lake high in the Sierra Madre Occidental, about 14 km south of Creel in Chihuahua. This walk of about 3 km follows footpaths along the shore. The lake is surrounded by unusual rock formations and a fragrant pine forest. The Cusárare waterfall lies a few kilometres away in a nearby canyon.
