Trail description

Out-and-back walk from the Poza Azul visitor centre, past the short Sendero El Borbollón, along the reserve road to the Poza Azul, a clear blue spring pool in the Cuatro Ciénegas valley about 9 km from town. The pools are fed by underground springs and hold fish and turtles found nowhere else. The valley has been a Flora and Fauna Protection Area of 84,347 hectares since 1994 and is one of the world's most important desert wetlands.
