Trail description
Cerro del Cubilete is a hill in Silao, Guanajuato, often said to be the geographic center of Mexico. This route climbs from the village at its foot on a track used by pilgrims, then joins the road for the last stretch to the summit. At about 2,580 m the top holds the 25 m Cristo Rey statue by sculptor Fidias Elizondo, which draws many pilgrims. The summit gives a panoramic view over the Bajío.
