Cañón del Sumidero Mirador

Trail description

A 2.3 km walk with about 55 m of climbing along the rim of the Sumidero Canyon from the Mirador El Tepehuaje, ending about 570 m before the Mirador Roblar. The canyon lies just north of Chiapa de Corzo and was cut by the Grijalva River, which still runs through it. Its vertical walls reach as high as 1,000 m along a 13 km narrow passage where the river turns up to 90 degrees.
