Lebanon Mountain Trail Kfar Bnine to Bqaa Safrine

Trail description

This Danniyeh section of the Lebanon Mountain Trail links Kfar Bebnine with Bqaa Safrine, following irrigation canals, orchards, footpaths and some paved road. After a steep early climb to the Saoma cisterns the going eases past the Nabaa al Sukar spring and unusual rock formations before a walkway leads into Bqaa Safrine, close to the old town of Sir ed Danniyeh. It is about 14 km with some 650 m of ascent and a similar descent. Parts are hard to reach in winter because of snow.
