From the street below Beiteddine palace, the nineteenth-century emir's residence above a terraced Chouf valley, lanes and farm tracks lead down and across the terraces of the valley below the village. About 3.8 km one way, mostly on quiet lanes and tracks, with views over the surrounding hills.
