Tashtar-Ata Pilgrim Trail

Trail description

Tashtar-Ata is a spiritual complex on a hill on the southern outskirts of Bishkek. From a wooden arch a stone staircase climbs to a large bonfire site and a cairn of pilgrim stones, up to 800 m and 150 m of ascent from the parking, with chapels of four world religions and views over the city on clear days. Informal paths continue higher up the hill.
