Trail description

A steep ascent to a viewpoint featuring the Kyrgyzstan flag overlooking the Sary-Chelek Nature Reserve, offering one of the most impressive views in Kyrgyzstan. The trail initially follows the route of the small lakes toward Iri-Kel, then a separate path climbs an additional 600-700 m up the slope. It is about 7 km one way, and the round trip takes almost a full day. It is best to hike in summer during clear weather; there is an entrance fee for the reserve, payable at the checkpoint in Arkyty.
