Trail description

A 2.7 km walk descending about 220 m from the car park on the canyon rim down the Valley of Castles to the Eco-Park campsite on the Charyn river. The Valley of Castles is the most visited of the five canyons of the Charyn, which runs for some 80 km along the river about 200 km east of Almaty, in Charyn National Park. Water and wind have carved its red sedimentary rock into towers and walls that look like castles.
