Trail description

Takatori Castle stood on Mount Takatori, 583 m, and is counted with Bitchu Matsuyama and Iwamura as one of Japan's three great mountain castles; it is a national historic site and one of the 100 fine castles of Japan. This route walks from Tsubosakayama station through the old castle town of Tosa and up the mountain past Sosenji temple to the stone walls. Beyond the temple the path is unpaved, with no rails or lights, and some walls may collapse, so keep to the path.
