Trail description
A 2 km climb of about 380 m from near Lake Shoji to the Panorama-dai viewpoint at about 1,300 m. Lake Shoji is the smallest of the Fuji Five Lakes, lying at 900 m like Lake Motosu and Lake Sai, with which it formed a single lake until a lava flow from Mount Fuji split them in 864 to 868. The remains of that lava flow now lie under the Aokigahara forest.
