Trail description

Unpenjisan, 927 m, stands at the western end of the Sanuki mountains on the border of Miyoshi in Tokushima and Kanonji in Kagawa. This route follows the Shikoku no Michi trail from the north to the summit, where Unpenji, the highest temple of the Shikoku 88 temple pilgrimage, stands. The summit park and observatory look down over the Sanuki plain and the Seto Inland Sea. A ropeway from the Kanonji side opened in 1987.
