Trail description
From the Bogakudai car park, with its eruption shelter, the trail crosses bare volcanic ground past the Tokachidake emergency hut and climbs the ash slopes to the summit of Mount Tokachi (2,077 m), an active volcano in Daisetsuzan National Park. There is no shade or water, and the trail closes when the volcanic alert rises.
