Trail description

Tairappyo, 1,984 m, stands at the western end of the main Tanigawa ridge on the border of Niigata and Gunma, in Joshinetsu Kogen National Park. This route climbs from the Gunma side past the Tairappyo-yama-no-ie hut, with its spring and bell, to the broad, bamboo grass covered summit. The gentle top is known for its alpine flowers and its 360 degree view toward Tanigawa and Sennokura. The hut is open in the summer season only.
