Mount Shinnyu

Trail description

Shinnyuzan, 1,153 m, rises in Akiota, Hiroshima, in the Nishi-Chugoku Sanchi Quasi-National Park, with the Sandankyo gorge at its southern foot. This short route climbs the grassy slopes to the summit. The dome-shaped mountain is covered in pampas grass and bamboo grass right to the top, and the grassland is burned every April to keep it open. It is one of the Chugoku 100 famous mountains.
