Trail description

Shidangoyama, 758 m, is a small peak in southern Tanzawa in the town of Matsuda, within the Tanzawa-Oyama Quasi-National Park. This route climbs from the Yadoriki side on forest tracks and paths to the summit. The top gives a 360 degree view of Sagami Bay, Mount Fuji and the Tanzawa range. The name is said to come from a hermit called Shidagon who spread Buddhism here in the Asuka period.
