Trail description

Ryugatake, 1,485 m, rises on the south shore of Lake Motosu, the northern end of the Tenshi mountains, in Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park. This route climbs from the Motosu lake side to the bamboo grass covered summit. It is known as the place to see Diamond Fuji, when the sun rises behind the summit of Mount Fuji. Legend says a dragon from Lake Motosu fled the heat of a Fuji eruption to this peak, giving it its name.
