Mount Neko (Sugadaira)

Trail description

Nekodake, 2,207 m, rises above the Sugadaira highlands on the border of Ueda and Suzaka in Joshinetsu Kogen National Park. This route climbs from the north to the summit on the rim of the old Azumaya caldera. The trail is well signed, with no chains or ladders. It is one of Japan's 100 famous flower mountains, known for grass of Parnassus flowering in September.
