Trail description
Nakadake, 1,791 m, is the highest summit of the Kuju Mountains and of mainland Kyushu. From Chojabaru the route follows the Iouzan road, climbs to the Suganomori pass and crosses the high plateau to the top. The steaming Iouzan vents lie beside the path, so keep to the marked route.
