Trail description

From the Ebino Kogen plateau in the Kirishima mountains the trail climbs volcanic slopes to the 1,700 m summit of Mount Karakuni, the highest of the Kirishima volcanoes, with a view into its deep crater and across to Takachiho-no-mine and Shinmoe-dake. Access depends on the current volcanic alert level for the area.
