Trail description

Mount Jippo, 1,319 m, is the third highest mountain in Hiroshima, in the Nishi-Chugoku Mountains. The path climbs from near the hamlet of Nasu through forest to the bamboo grass summit above the tree line, where on a clear day you see the Seto Inland Sea, the Ishizuchi range on Shikoku and the Sea of Japan. Asian black bears live in these mountains, so carry a bell and keep food packed away.
