Mount Iwawaki

Trail description

Iwawakisan, 897 m, is the signature mountain of Kawachinagano in Osaka and one of the new 100 famous mountains of Japan. This route follows the Diamond Trail from the west to the summit. About 8 hectares around the top are a thatch grass field whose silver plumes in autumn are counted among the eight views of Kawachinagano, and the grass is used to repair historic buildings. The summit looks over the Osaka plain and Osaka Bay.
