Trail description

Mount Ishizuchi, 1,982 m, is the highest mountain in western Japan and a sacred mountain of Shikoku. This route starts at Tsuchigoya, the end of the Ishizuchi Skyline, and follows the path for about 4.6 km to the shrine on Misen, about two and a half hours up; the line keeps to the bypass paths, not the famous chains. The true summit, Tengudake, is about 200 m beyond Misen, and the Skyline road is closed from December to March.
