Trail description
A 3.4 km climb of about 500 m from Ikoma town to the top of Mount Ikoma, 642 m, on the border of Nara and Osaka. The steep path first climbs about 1.5 km to the temple of Hozanji, then continues on the trail behind it to the summit, where the Ikoma-Sanjo amusement park stands. Two cable cars also run from Ikoma station to the top, so you can walk one way.
