Mount Ichifusa from Ichifusa Campground

Trail description

Ichifusayama, 1,721 m, rises on the border of Kumamoto and Miyazaki at the head of the Kuma river. This out-and-back route starts at the Ichifusa campground, passes Ichifusa shrine among giant old cedars and climbs steeply through forest to the summit, 7.7 km with about 1,100 m of climbing. It is a hard, steep day.
